I believe teaching is about helping students make discoveries, showing them the scope of their abilities and building a sense of self respect and pride. I have been able to achieve this in past years through clear, honest communication and careful listening.  These two skills have also enabled me to define boundaries and install personal expectations in students that are not just answers to unit requirements, but more importantly a response to their innate desire for success.
